Jain Miniature Paintings: Theme and Style

Eminent research scholar, art historian and freelance editor, Saryu Doshi is well-known for her scholarly research in the field of art and culture and for her work in promoting and popularizing Indian art. She has been a visiting professor at several Indian and foreign Universities and has written extensively on the subject of art. She was also editor at Marg publications. In this lecture, she will articulate on the thematic and stylistic aspects of Jain miniature painting of palm-leaf manuscript editions of Jain scriptures, with painted illustrations on both the folios and the wooden cover.
