1. The Art of Ancient Egypt (Col.30 min)
In modern time Russian collection of Egyptian Art has grown to nearly 10,000 pieces some dating from as far back as 4000 B.C. when the first communities drew together on the Nile banks and eventually built one of the greatest empires in the ancient world.

2. The Classical World of Greece and Rome (Col.30 min)
Long before the Hermitage Palaces were built, Russian rulers began to assemble a valuable collection of Greek and Roman art. Today this collection is one of the largest in the world, and like so much at the Hermitage, is rarely seen outside Russia.

3. Art of the Middle Ages (Col.30 min)
The Middle Ages was a time of dragons and knights, crusades, pilgrimages, and chivalry. The extraordinary Hermitage collection of works from these ages dates from the 5th century shortly after the fall of Rome to the 15th century.
